Overview & Highlights

Nestled in the heart of Bushbury, Wolverhampton, K-Tea’s Tearoom & Cakes offers a charming and authentic tea house experience that perfectly blends cozy comfort with heartfelt local hospitality. This delightful spot at 10-12 Broadway welcomes guests daily from 9:30 am to 4 pm, making it an ideal destination to start your morning with a satisfying breakfast or enjoy a leisurely afternoon tea.

What truly sets K-Tea’s apart is its genuine dedication to quality and warmth. Customers repeatedly highlight their beautifully presented breakfasts served piping hot on warm plates — a comforting touch that speaks volumes about the care taken with each meal. The traditional English Breakfast, praised by patrons like David “Demodave” Lavill, is a hearty, well-balanced plate that satisfies all the senses: golden toast, perfectly cooked eggs, savory sausages, and crispy bacon, all complemented by quality condiments and a nourishing beverage. It’s the kind of meal that brings a simple joy and homely satisfaction you don’t find everywhere.

But K-Tea’s isn’t just about breakfasts. The tearoom excels with its range of homemade cakes, freshly made finger sandwiches, and classic coronation sausage rolls, all expertly crafted and bursting with flavor. Tracey Warren’s account of a wonderful afternoon tea — featuring traditional scones with jam and clotted cream — captures the essence of the place: a warm, inviting space where every detail, from drink top-ups to cake boxes for leftovers, is thoughtfully attended to. It’s clear they want every guest to feel pampered and well cared for.

The atmosphere here is quietly inviting — a bright, clean, and family-run café with a friendly atmosphere that makes you feel part of the community from the moment you walk in. Staff friendliness is a consistent highlight, available to guide, assist dietary needs, and engage warmly with guests of all ages and abilities. Accessibility is prioritized with clean, accessible toilets and wide front doors, welcoming everyone comfortably including those with mobility aids.

Value is another strong suit. With reasonably priced menu items—such as a complete cooked breakfast for just £5.70 and toast with butter and jam for £1.40—plus the bonus of free ATM withdrawals nearby, K-Tea’s offers an authentic local experience without the premium price tag. The modest decor and intimate setting amplify the homely, family-run feel that makes each visit memorable.

Beyond food, the tearoom has earned a sterling reputation with special occasions too. Katie, the talented baker behind the scenes, creates exquisite wedding cakes and cheese platters that are not only visually stunning but also offer great value, reflecting the same passion found in every meal served. Regular customers like Daniel Warren speak lovingly of the long-standing personal relationships built here, reinforcing K-Tea’s as a beloved institution in the community.

All told, K-Tea’s Tearoom & Cakes is more than just a tea shop — it’s a local haven where quality, warmth, and genuine kindness blend beautifully. Whether you’re popping in for a quick breakfast, savoring an indulgent slice of homemade cake, or celebrating a big life event, you’ll leave with a full belly and a happy heart. For anyone in Wolverhampton seeking an unpretentious yet thoroughly delightful traditional tea house, K-Tea’s is a must-visit.

Went for Saturday breakfast, they opened at 9.30 am. Greeted by friendly member of staff. Menus on the table, orders taken at counter. The food arrived well presented, hot and on a hot plate. All condiments were offered, and our satisfaction asked mid meal. My breakfast is shown in picture, main English Breakfast including beverage was £5.70, the two slices of toast , butter and jam £1.40. Quality food, good prices and a great environment. Well done to all staff. UPDATE 27/07/22: Had a revisit this morning for full English breakfast, still great value and great quality.

Fantastic Local Tea Shop, Within Walking Distance from Northwood Park Bushbury Wolverhampton, open from 9.30 -4pm Monday to Saturday, well worth a visit and a few cakes to munch , menu is simple and very good quality. Staff Friendly , toilets clean and accessible for disabled as is the front door Will use again ..

Excellent food, warm clean friendly place I'd say it will take some beating .

We visited yesterday (16/09/23) for work with two young men we support in wheelchairs. The ladies were friendly and helpful, offering to add cream or mix up some custard for one youngmans dietary requirements. The items we purchased were of good quality and value, very reasonably priced. Will definitely be returning.

Food was great and quick service, only down side was the prices was not freely available and you have to ask for some of the prices of things and this is a cash only place with the only ATM locations across the street in a oneshop. But one perk the ATM is free cash withdrawal. Nice small town homely feel with a family still café with good priced food. Would eat hear again.

Oh how I love this cafe. Nice and clean brilliant tasty food to eat in or to eat out. I have had both in and out food.staff very nice. Atmosphere friendly. Would highly recommend a visit.

Katie made my wedding cake and cheese platters. They were excellent and great value for money. I have been a regular at the café for many years and always been made welcome and the breakfasts are very good too. Can't recommend enough.

Wonderful afternoon tea, good choice of freshly made finger sandwiches, sausage roll, salad and crisps. Fabulous choice of homemade cakes including traditional scone, jam and clotted cream. Offered choice of drinks on arrival, asked frequently throughout experience about top ups. Fabulous experience, excellent value for money, able to bring cakes home with us in a box as was unable to eat it all. Thank you Kate & team, we will definitely be visiting again soon
